RALF SCHWARZ

Musical career

studied clarinet and conducting at the conservatory of Trossingen and the university of music and performing arts at Mannheim. He gained practical experience at a traineeship at the SWR Symphonic Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg, as solo clarinetist at the state theatre of Braunschweig and in the Orchestra of the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern. He performed in various other orchestras and took part at several cd productions and productions in broadcast.

 

From 2007 to 2016, he has been lecturer for wind orchestra conduction at the university of music and performing arts at Mannheim. Besides, he worked as a conductor for many representational youth orchestras (LJBO Sachsen, LJBO Niedersachsen, Auswahlorchester des Allgäu-Schwäbischen Musikbundes und Mannheimer Bläserphilharmonie) and still leads the rehearsals of the wind group of the Landesjugendblasorchesters Rheinland-Pfalz. He held various workshops and seminars of the German Conducting Academy and is a jury member at conducting competitions (for example at the German orchestra competition 2019 in Lower Saxony).
